Picture this: surrounded by jungle and beach, with rooms lit only by the soft glow of candlelight, every inch of Azulik is built by hand using ancestral techniques and local materials. It’s a place where nature isn’t just a backdrop; it’s an integral part of the guest experience.

Memorable experiences don’t happen by accident; they are designed with care and attention.

Staying at Azulik was more than just a getaway. It reminded me of what we strive to achieve at Austin Moss Creations. This resort offers more than a place to stay; it provides an immersive experience deeply rooted in the natural world. That’s what we aim for with every moss wall we create—spaces that reconnect people with nature.

Fast forward a few weeks, and we were back at work, completing a project that truly captures the essence of what we do: a stunning installation for 6pm Hospitality at the DoubleTree Hotel in Battle Creek, Michigan. Walking into the construction site was nothing short of inspiring. The hotel was a hive of activity, with everyone focused on creating a welcoming space for future guests. Being part of such a collective effort, where every person pours their heart into their work, reminded me why we do what we do. It’s about more than just building walls—we’re building experiences.

Painting the world green, one moss wall at a time.

Every step of our process, from selecting materials to final installation, is filled with purpose and creativity. It’s incredibly fulfilling to be part of the experience when someone walks into a hotel and is greeted by a beautiful piece of nature we’ve designed for that space. It’s not just about the design—it’s about the lasting impression it leaves and the connection to nature it fosters.

The hospitality industry is all about creating memorable experiences. Whether someone is starting a vacation or simply looking for a comfortable place to stay during a work trip, a hotel serves as a home away from home. Knowing that our moss designs are part of that experience, contributing to a guest’s well-being and connection to nature, brings me incredible happiness.
